SERIAL TO PARALLEL INTERFACE

There are serial to parallel interfaces that transform the data from serial output absolut encoder in parallel format, it means allow to have parallel data format with the security of serial comunication for long distances between the encoder and the treatment unit of the dates.
These modules have some interesting functions that complet the features of our serial output absolut encoder.

Output code
Allows to choose through dip-switch the output code Binary or Gray.

Sense of direction
Allows to choose through dip-switch the sense of direction.
Reset
The module gives the posibility of an encoder reset, it means to pull all the parallel output to zero.
You can do it through the dip number 10 (switching OFF-ON-OFF) previosly you must programm the number of bits from the encoder that the module has connected, through dip-switch 5-6-7-8 and 9
Another posibility is an external reset.

Watchdog
The module has a watchdog function that give us information about the quality of communication between the encoder an the module. If the watchdog output has high level 24 Vdc., the quality of communication is good, to have an easy-read we indicate it also throught a led.
